I got Senegalese twist again so my new fully natural hair can grow without me watching and manipulating it.
I plan to keep them in until The End of August I will most likely get the edges redone if they start looking raggedy lol!!
.....And yes they are as tight as they look

1 Year Since Last Relaxer!!! *Comparison Shots*
What a milestone I made it to my 1 year anniversary May 24 2012
It was not always easy but it was all worth it and the year went by so fast and it is amazing going back looking at my pictures when i first started all the way to my big chop
Here are some pics to show how far I have come this year in my natural hair journey!!

Big Chop :-) May 10, 2012
Have not posted in a Looonng!! time because my hair has been in a sew in since January (not the same one of course) lol! I took my last sew-in out April 22, 2012. I wore my hair flat ironed until I got the itch to cut the rest of my permed ends off May 10, 2012
Originally I was going to wait until January 2013 to do the big chop but I was tired of looking at the permed ends dangling from my natural roots. It really felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders and made it official
I AM NATURAL!! :-)

Sew-In (Second part of the 11 month no touch challenge!!!)
9 months since last relaxer (January 24th)
I have to be honest I cheated a bit on the 11 month no touch challenge because after I took out my Senegalese twist my hair was out for like a month and I was putting quite a bit of heat in it. But now I have my sew-in I got it done January 16th and plan to keep it in for two months and when I take it out I only want my hair out for a couple of days for a week max and then get another sew-in or Senegalese twist again
I used 2 packs of saga gold hair
I only have about a inch of hair out to cover the track
I have it braided with a net
will be posting more pics of my sew-in with in the next 2 months

At Home Silk Press
So I was looking online at natural hair styles and I came across the silk press I really liked the look and figured I could do it myself with the right products so this is my first attempt at what is called the silk press!
First I washed and deep conditioned my hair
Below: Texture Shots taken 12/14/11
I parted it in 4-5 sections and blow dried and then flat ironed it
After Flat ironing I rolled it and kept it in over night
This is what it looked like after I took the rollers out and wrapped it; it had a lot of body and volume
This is 4 days post Silk Press and rollers I did touch up minimally with flat iron
I sprayed this on the different sections of my hair before I flat ironed it
